This month's meeting was a potluck-style gathering, and members did an excellent job providing dishes for the group.

New Officers -- The first order of business was the announcement of new officers. Those positions are filled as follows:
President- Tyson Lemka
Vice President- Britt Worrell
Secretary- Rhiannon Pegan
Treasurer- Kate Durrance

Pirate Preview -- Some of our members attended Pirate Preview to introduce potential students to Psi Chi/Twitmyer. While the experience was enjoyable, those in attendance felt that the function was not particularly well-organized. A letter offering constructive criticism is being drafted to provide feedback.

Graduate Discussion Panel -- The students responsible for arranging the Graduate School Discussion Panel, which occurred on November 17, were recognized for doing an outstanding job. The discussion featured representatives from Georgia Southern University, South University, and Savannah State University.

Homecoming Parade -- AASU's Homecoming will be held in February, and there will be a Homecoming parade. We could potentially design a float. If you are interested in helping with Homecoming activities or float design, feel free to email aasu.psichitwitmyer@gmail.com.

Psi Chi Lounge -- It has been Tyson's dream to acquire a room for a Psi Chi study lounge, and he has successfully obtained room SC 248 (beside the water fountain) for this use. It is very dusty and in need cleaning/redecorating. A committee has been formed for this very purpose. If you are interested in helping with this project, contact committee head Britt: vulcanraven@gmail.com.

Toys for Tots -- The toy drive was discussed at the last meeting, and it was announced at this meeting that boxes for the drive will be placed in front of the library and in the psychology department office. At some point, we will have fliers to disperse. In addition to toys, gloves, hats, scarves, and mittens are also needed. We are also collaborating with the Gay-Straight Alliance to help with this drive. If you would like more information, please contact Lakiesha: mooreofkesha@yahoo.com.

Coffee Fundraiser -- Juanita brought up the idea of a coffee fundraiser that she proposed at the last meeting. This would occur during finals. There was some question of how to obtain containers for the coffee, but Dr. Elcoro has located some containers that are not currently in use. Juanita recently sent an email giving an update. If you would like to help, please contact Juanita: jv4778@stu.armstrong.edu.

Making Change -- Patrina's trip to Ghana changed her life, and now she is looking to raise funds to start a training facility for girls like the ones she worked with in Ghana. She has started the organization called Making Change. She is hoping to raise $10,000 in change, and she wants to involve Psi Chi/Twitmyer in this process. As she has more information and ideas, she intends to share them.

That covers the very eventful November meeting. The semester is almost over, so hang in there!
